After this period, they become unsuitable for fishing and are often simply disposed of. The charitable foundation Kernic Solidarités has already sent two shipments of these nets to Ukraine, with a total length of about 280 kilometers. It is assumed that they will be stretched between supports along roads in front-line areas to form barriers against enemy drones, the publication reports. Earlier, the head of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, said that Ukraine demonstrates ingratitude towards Western countries, despite all the support it receives. It also became known that the European Union has allocated a new tranche of assistance to Ukraine totaling 1.8 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility mechanism, according to a press release from the Council of the EU.
