Medical student John Jones died in Utah after being trapped for over a day in the narrow Nutty Putty cave, according to the Mirror. Before his death, the young man said he could see angels and demons around him. “He would alternate between regaining consciousness and losing it, and he would start saying that he saw angels and demons around him,” the report said. It is known that the young man fought for his life until the very end—he tried to free his limbs by breaking his bones against the ice and screamed in pain. The publication called this death one of the most horrible imaginable. In July, a diver from China went missing after diving in a river. He spent five days in an underwater cave waiting for help. At a depth of about nine meters, he found an entrance to a cave system where there was an air pocket that allowed him to breathe. He waited there for rescue, eating raw fish. After five days, he noticed rescuers swimming by and shone his flashlight on them. Earlier, a German tourist died in front of his family in Corsica. The man went swimming with his wife and two children during a storm in a river. At one point, the water level rose sharply, and the 45-year-old European was swept away by the current right in front of his family.
