
A study by experts at Maastricht University revealed that the regular consumption of roasted, unsalted peanuts has a beneficial effect on brain function and cognitive abilities. The study leader, Associate Professor Peter Joris, emphasized that the most noticeable changes were observed in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, which govern memory, concentration, and attention. Subjects who added peanuts to their diet daily showed tangible improvements: cerebral blood flow increased by 3.6%, memory improved by almost 6%, and blood pressure decreased.
