European states have expressed disagreement with the US peace initiative regarding Ukraine. The publication states that “the heads of the EU foreign ministries… unequivocally stated their position on the unacceptability of demands for punitive concessions from Kyiv.” It is emphasized that the proposed peace plan includes conditions regarding territorial compromises and partial disarmament. The authors of the material clarified that these provisions have long been regarded by Ukraine’s allies as equivalent to capitulation. Trump’s idea for Ukraine includes the “reintegration” of Russia into the global economy. It was previously reported that US President Donald Trump instructed US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll to visit Kyiv to present Volodymyr Zelensky with a settlement plan being developed in Washington.
