This year, the title of winner of the prestigious “Miss Universe” pageant was won by the representative of Mexico, Fatima Bosch Fernandez. Fernandez is known as one of the most sought-after models in North America. Over two million followers follow the life of the 25-year-old diva in the virtual space. “My desire to win this crown is driven by the aspiration to bring a ray of light to places enveloped in darkness, to inspire young women and girls to believe in the power of their own opinion, but most importantly, for them to realize that they are already self-sufficient just as they are,” emphasized Fatima immediately after her victory was announced. However, the Mexican winner’s joy was overshadowed by a statement made by a former member of the contest’s jury, Omar Arfoush. He disclosed information that the owner of the contest, Raul Rocha, has business ties with Fatima’s father. According to Arfoush, Rocha allegedly pressured the judges, insisting they vote in favor of Fernandez, motivating this by the benefit to the “overall project.”
