The lawsuit was filed by NetApp against former CTO Jon Thorgrimur Stefansson. For eight years, Stefansson worked at NetApp and had access to critical information about the company’s courses, product structure, and developments in collaboration with key cloud providers. The court decision temporarily restricts Stefansson’s activities related to NetApp technologies until November 26, 2025. The startup began its operations in July and was acquired by VAST Data less than ten weeks later.
