
The head of the team of Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) master Islam Makhachev, Ali Abdel-Aziz, announced a potential opponent for his charge in the next fight. He shared his vision on the X platform. “Kamaru Usman is next. Everyone else should calm down,” read the message from Abdel-Aziz. Usman represents the United States, being a UFC fighter of Nigerian origin. He previously held the organization’s championship title in the up to 77 kg division. On November 16, Makhachev defeated Australian Jack Della Maddalena to win the vacant UFC welterweight belt by unanimous judges’ decision. Before this, the Russian already held the promotion’s championship belt in the lightweight division.
