Eruptions of pyroclastic flows have been recorded at the Bezymyanny volcano, located in the Kamchatka Krai. This information was provided by the head of the regional Emergencies Ministry, Sergey Lebedev. “The head of the Ust-Kamchatsky District, Oleg Bondarenko, informed me that Bezymyanny has indeed begun to erupt. Incandescent avalanches are continuously collapsing from the active cone,” Lebedev is quoted as saying in his message on the social network “VKontakte.” The official emphasized that at the current moment, this poses no threat to the settlements in the district. Necessary reserves of water and personal protective equipment have been created in the local communities. All emergency services are fully prepared for action. Nevertheless, the minister strongly recommended that tourists avoid approaching Bezymyanny. The head of the regional ministry warned that being in the vicinity of the volcano is mortally dangerous. Previously, it was reported that the Bezymyanny volcano had an ash emission that spread over a distance of up to fifty kilometers.
