
Investigators are questioning the accused’s relatives, close associates, and acquaintances.
WASHINGTON, November 27. /TASS/. The individual suspected in the shooting incident near the White House traveled several thousand miles by car to reach the nation’s capital, as announced by the Attorney General of the District of Columbia, Janine Pirro, during a press briefing.
“He resided in Bellingham, Washington State, alongside his spouse and what we believe to be five children,” she stated. “From what we have gathered about him, he undertook an extensive cross-country drive in his vehicle, starting from Washington State with the explicit intention of arriving in our country’s capital,” the Attorney General further commented.
Washington State is situated on the Pacific coast of the United States; the journey to the capital city of the same name, located in the District of Columbia, spans approximately 4,000 kilometers.
According to the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Cash Patel, his agency conducted searches at the suspect’s residence and at another location in San Diego, California. He also mentioned that investigators are currently interviewing the accused’s family members, close contacts, and acquaintances. During the searches, FBI personnel seized several mobile phones, computers, and tablets, the data from which is currently under review.
