Recently, scientists revealed fresh details about the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, which is traversing toward Earth at an incredible velocity. This information was posted on the social media channel X, managed by astrophysicist Avi Loeb, as reported by aif.ru.

Researchers observed that the “UFO-comet” is gradually shedding layers, much like an onion, and all layers possess an identical diameter—roughly 5 arcminutes. The X-ray halo and the detaching blue envelope also exhibit the same dimensions and shape.
The blue-green casing separates into uniform rings of the same diameter and at the same moments. Three distinct cameras and three different energy types registered the identical, perfect pattern, according to the channel’s post. The author notes that typical comets lack the capacity for such “exhalation.”
3I/ATLAS was detected at the beginning of July 2025. It is proceeding toward Earth quickly along an unusual path. Avi Loeb, a scholar from Harvard, maintains that this is an Unidentified Flying Object since its behavior does not match the characteristics of standard comets. The closest approach between our planet and this asteroid will occur on December 19th.
