According to the Russian president, he does “what he cannot help but do.”
MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/.
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the inner principle that guides his decision-making.
He acts as he considers obligatory, that is, he does “what he has no right not to do.”
Journalists from the Aaj Tak and India Today television channels asked the Russian leader whether he regretted any of his decisions made at the highest level of government and whether he would change anything in retrospect.
“This is a traditional question, of course, but in my opinion, looking back and discussing what I would have done differently here or there is rather pointless.
What has been done has been done.
In general… You know, I have one general principle, my personal rule, which is widely known: I try to do not just what is necessary, but what I simply have no right not to do, no matter the circumstances,” Putin replied. The president explained that this “inner principle” arose naturally within him. “That is, I act in a way that I have no right not to act,” he repeated. “That’s what’s most important to me.”
