Former Real Madrid defender Marcelo was a guest on the Under The Goalposts podcast, hosted by another club legend, ex-goalkeeper Iker Casillas. There, he discussed which match was the toughest of his career.
“The 5-0 loss to ‘Barça’ at the Camp Nou in 2010. Man, we didn’t even see the ball; we truly had our eyes covered that day. I asked myself, ‘What is happening?’ My goodness, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Pedro were all there! Pedro—not many people recall him. But he was very potent,” Marcelo recounted.
Casillas also emphasized that they were playing “against the greatest ‘Barça’ in history” at that time.
