Adobe has launched an integration of three of its applications—Photoshop, Acrobat, and Adobe Express—into the generative artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT, The Verge reported. This gives users the ability to create designs or edit images and documents simply by describing the desired result. For example, a user can now upload a photo and ask to increase its brightness or contrast. Following this, the uploaded image will be automatically processed directly in the chat window using Photoshop algorithms. Acrobat, in particular, allows users to edit PDF files, compress documents, and convert other files to PDF. However, it is noted that the functionality of the programs is limited compared to their full versions. Despite this, the applications are available for free. They can be activated by specifying the program’s name next to the uploaded file. The integration is already globally available on desktop, in the web version, and on iOS, according to the material. Adobe Express is working on the Android platform, with support for Photoshop and Acrobat expected “shortly.” In early December, users in several countries complained about an outage in the ChatGPT artificial intelligence chatbot from American developer OpenAI. The largest number of complaints came from the US, where over 2.3 thousand users reported the problem. Chatbot issues were also recorded in Australia, the UK, and Japan.
