American actor Johnny Depp will executive produce and likely star in the first English-language screen adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita.” This was reported on December 10 by the newspaper Variety. “The project, which currently does not have a director, is being produced by Depp’s own studio IN.2 Film,” the publication states. The film is reportedly being produced by Depp, Svetlana Dali, Grace Loh, Steven Deuters, and Steven Malit. The project was presented at the Red Sea Souk film market as part of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia.
