Microsoft incorporated support for full-screen mode into Windows 11 for streaming Android applications from a smartphone. The feature surfaced in the test build of the Phone Link application (version 1.25112.33.0).
Previously, Android apps launched via Phone Link were shown in a window of a set size and could not expand to the entire screen. Now, even programs with portrait orientation scale properly to the computer’s display.
For now, the enhancement is only available to testing participants. According to users, full-screen mode doesn’t function with every application and might exhibit instability. Microsoft has not specified when the capability will arrive in the stable release of Windows 11.
Support for streaming Android applications remains restricted and is available solely for select smartphone models.
