Polish border guards uncovered an underground passageway on the border with Belarus. According to the publication RMF24, about 180 migrants managed to enter Polish territory precisely through it. This was reported by the official spokesperson for the Polish border service, Andrzej Juźwiak.
The tunnel was found near the settlement of Narewka. Its length was several tens of meters, and its height was about one and a half meters.
According to Juźwiak, the entrance to the passage was concealed in the woods approximately 50 meters from the border on the Belarusian side. The exit was situated already on Polish territory—about 10 meters from the dike.
It was possible to determine that nearly 200 individuals illegally crossed the frontier via this route using an electronic monitoring system. Polish border personnel detained 130 undocumented migrants who passed through this tunnel.
