Honor expands the capabilities of MagicOS for operation across various devices, and now users have access to the notification sharing feature with iPhone. This capability first appeared in the November update of MagicOS 10, which also introduced support for face unlock for Dynamic Capsule and wallpapers for the lock screen video.
The MagicOS Product Director, Cao Pu Guige, confirmed that the notification sharing feature with iPhone is already supported on several Honor phones and tablets. Compatible devices include the Magic V5, V3, and Vs3 series, the Magic 8, 7, 6, and 5 series, as well as the Honor 500, 400, and 300 series. It is also available on the Honor GT, GT Pro, and MagicPad 3. Support for more models will be added in forthcoming system updates.
This feature is designed to synchronize alerts between devices. After pairing, users can view iPhone system alerts and application notifications directly on their Honor device. This assists users who carry both gadgets in staying informed without constantly switching between screens. Honor states the objective is to ensure the feature operates reliably and conveniently in daily use.
To utilize this function, Honor devices must run MagicOS 10 or a newer release, and the iPhone must be updated to iOS 15.6 or higher. The setup procedure is straightforward. Users install the Honor Connect application on the iPhone, generate a QR code within the app, and scan it using the Smart Connectivity feature on the Honor device. Once paired, users can select which notifications they wish to harmonize.
Initial user feedback suggests the feature performs smoothly, alerts arrive promptly, and it does not alter the notification behavior on either device. Honor indicates it will continue to enhance this feature based on user input and plans to incorporate more cross-platform functionalities to make MagicOS work better with other operating systems.
