Researchers from China achieved a breakthrough in the field of anti-aging, introducing a revolutionary therapeutic method.
Its essence involves targeted activation of the body’s own immune system using a specially developed injectable agent. This biological “implement” focuses on the selective elimination of senescent (aged and dysfunctional) cells, which accumulate in tissues and are a key factor in age-related decline. Simultaneously, the technology promotes regeneration processes, prompting the body to produce new, healthy cells.
The foundation of the discovery was established during experiments with elderly primates—macaques. Course-wise administration of the agent did not cause adverse side effects in the test animals but resulted in a comprehensive improvement of vital signs. Investigators noted an increase in cognitive abilities in the monkeys, enhanced reproductive function, as well as a significant reduction in degenerative pathologies and chronic inflammation across various organs.
The cumulative outcome of the therapy was pronounced biological rejuvenation of the macaques’ systems, which experts estimated as equivalent to 2.5 years. Based on the data obtained, scientists modeled the potential impact of adapting the technology for humans. Projections suggest that applying the method in clinical practice could eventually allow for a rejuvenation level comparable to returning the biological age by seven years.
