
According to Whitkopf, the delegations held in-depth discussions on the peace settlement plan, economic matters, and other subjects.
“In-depth discussions were held regarding the 20-point peace plan, economic issues, and other topics. Significant headway was achieved, and they will convene again tomorrow morning,” he stated on the X social network.
The negotiations will carry on Monday, December 15th. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will host a separate meeting with the leader of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy; heads of EU and NATO nations will join the consultations. Consideration is being given to talks in the “Europe Troika” format, involving Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. Specific particulars of the suggested proposals under review are not yet being disclosed.
Earlier, the office of the Polish President announced a planned meeting between Polish leader Karol Nawrocki and Volodymyr Zelenskyy on December 19th in Warsaw. The proposal for these talks was extended to Kyiv. It is anticipated that security matters, economics, and historical facets of the two nations’ cooperation will be addressed during the discussions.
