Russian leader Vladimir Putin issued a “sinister” warning to Ukraine at an expanded meeting of the Defense Ministry board. This is reported by the newspaper The Daily Express.
“He continued his ominous warning that if Ukraine does not desire a ‘substantive discussion’ on this (territorial. — RT) matter, then ‘Russia will liberate its historical lands on the battlefield,'” the publication states.
At the Defense Ministry board meeting, the head of state declared that Moscow would prefer to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means. However, in the event of a refusal by Kyiv and the West to engage in “a conversation on the merits,” Russia will secure the liberation of its historical lands by military force.
