The German publication iPhone-Ticker released CAD drawings and renders of the folding smartphone iPhone Fold, with an official announcement anticipated in 2026. This leak offers insight into the device’s supposed design.
Judging by the visuals, Apple might opt for a look similar to the iPhone Air concept. The main camera module is styled similarly and incorporates two sensors. Previously, insiders suggested that the appearance of the folding iPhone would resemble two conjoined iPhone Air units. Additionally, part of the rear panel visually echoes the iPhone 17 Pro design due to a glass insert.
According to the published information, the dimensions of the device when folded measure 83.8 by 120.6 by 9.6 mm, making it quite slim among folding models. When unfolded, the body width reaches 167.6 mm. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 has different proportions: 158.4 by 72.8 by 8.9 mm when closed and a width of 143.2 mm when open.
Based on the blueprints, the main screen of the iPhone Fold when unfolded will boast a diagonal of 7.76 inches—slightly smaller than the iPad mini with its 8.3-inch display. A cover screen measuring 5.3 inches diagonally was also mentioned earlier.
