New personalization features have appeared in ChatGPT, enabling users to adjust the AI’s emotional tone and response style. OpenAI is presenting several chatbot “personality” options that can be fine-tuned and further refined.
The primary style for the AI model’s replies is the “Default” setting, followed by “Professional,” “Friendly,” “Candid,” “Quirky,” “Efficient,” “Pedantic,” and “Cynical.” As noted by The Verge, each personality trait parameter can be altered by increasing or decreasing its characteristic scale.
There is also an option to configure the frequency of emojis, headings, and lists used in ChatGPT. These settings can be located by clicking the menu in the upper left corner of the ChatGPT application, selecting your profile, navigating to the “Personalization” section, and choosing “Add Characteristics.”
Furthermore, the method for composing emails has changed with the update. Users can now revise and format text directly within the chat. It is also possible to highlight segments of text and request that ChatGPT make specific alterations to them, rather than attempting to point out that segment to the chatbot in a separate conversational prompt.
