Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) competitor Rinat Fakhretdinov is no longer listed among the roster of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The organization officially removed the welterweight (up to 77 kg) from its directory, which the UFC press service confirmed.
In his final bout, which took place in September, the Russian achieved an impressive victory via technical knockout over the Swede Andreas Gustafsson. In total in the UFC, Fakhretdinov participated in seven contests since 2021. He has six wins and one draw to his credit. Besides the Scandinavian, the Gladiator (the fighter’s nickname) defeated Andreas Michailidis, Bryan Battle, Kevin Lee, Nicolas Dalby, and Carlos Leal. The sole draw was against Elizeu dos Santos Zaleski.
The rationales for this decision from the organization have not yet been disclosed. At the time of his removal, the 34-year-old Fakhretdinov held an impressive professional record: 24 victories against one loss and one draw in 26 matches.
