At the CES 2026 exhibition, LG plans to unveil a humanoid robot designed for routine household tasks. Under the slogan Zero Labor Home, the company is preparing the announcement of the domestic robot CLOiD at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The teaser displays close contact between the robot’s hands and a person, symbolizing a new era in home robotics.
LG stated that CLOiD is part of the company’s vision, according to which “the absence of the need to toil at home will allow time to be spent usefully.” The company claims its robot is a step toward achieving the goal of “freeing people from time-consuming housework.”
Currently, there is no information on what the helper robot will look like or what tasks it will be capable of. A photograph of one limb with five movable fingers is all LG is using to draw attention to the forthcoming demonstration.
The device’s “brain” is a powerful processor located in the unit’s head, integrated with a display, speaker, camera, and numerous sensors for navigation, environmental recognition, and natural communication. The robot operates based on LG Affectionate Intelligence technology (emotional AI), which ensures friendly interaction, context comprehension, expression of feelings, and behavior personalization derived from user experience.
At the CES 2026 booth, the company promises to show several actual usage scenarios for the robot in household chores. At the same time, it should be remembered that not all products displayed at the exhibition reach retail.
