Sweden’s squad defeated Slovakia in their first match of the 2026 World Junior Championship—3:2.
Anton Frondell, Viktor Eklund, and Ivar Stenberg’s goals brought the victory to the Swedes. Frondell and Stenberg also made one assist each.
For the Slovaks, Tomas Pobehal and Tobias Tomik found the net.
In their next game, Slovakia will play Germany on December 27 in a Group A match. Sweden will meet Switzerland on December 28.
