
In St. Louis, at the US Figure Skating Championships, in the pairs competition, Alisa Efimova and Mikhail Mitrofanov are leading. They secured victory in the short program.
Efimova and Mitrofanov showed a score of 75.31 points, earning them the top spot. In second place are Audrey Shin and Balazs Nagy (67.67 points). Elllie Kam and Danny O’Shea occupied the third line with 67.13 points.
The competitions will conclude on January 10th. This championship functions as a qualifying stage for athletes being selected for the US national squad for participation in the 2026 Olympic Games.
Alisa Efimova is 25 years old; she originates from Finland. From 2012 to 2014, the skater competed in ladies’ singles for Finland, then switched discipline to pair skating and represented Russia (2015–2020), later Germany (2021–2023), and since 2023, she has competed for the USA. Mikhail Mitrofanov is 27 years old; he was born in the USA.
