Vera Zvonareva, the 41-year-old Russian tennis player, and her Japanese partner, Ena Shibahara, have advanced to the fourth round of the 2026 Australian Open doubles competition.
In the round of sixteen, the Russian-Japanese duo overcame the American duo of Asia Muhammad and New Zealander Erin Routliffe with a match score of 7-5, 3-6, 6-1.
The match lasted 2 hours and 26 minutes on the court. Throughout the contest, Zvonareva and Shibahara registered four aces while committing an equal number of double faults; additionally, they capitalized on four out of nine break point opportunities. Muhammad and Routliffe managed two aces, incurred six double faults, and converted two break points from their eleven chances.
