During February 2026, individuals sensitive to weather changes anticipate encountering three, potentially four, surges of geomagnetic storms. Each of these events is expected to persist for a duration ranging from two to three days and might trigger symptoms such as headaches, fluctuations in blood pressure, sleep disturbances, and increased stress levels. Scientists point out that the storms in this particular month will be atypical: they are slated to be caused by coronal holes on the Sun, which intensify the solar wind, manifesting as successive pulses of gentle yet prolonged fluctuations in the magnetic field.
The initial storm pulse is scheduled to commence on the evening of February 4th, peaking the following day, February 5th, with an anticipated Kp index of 4. The second wave is projected to span from the evening of February 9th until the morning of February 11th and will be classified as G1 level. The third event is slotted for the period between the evening of February 13th and the 16th, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. A fourth wave remains a possibility, though precise data for it is not yet available.
“During these specific days, it is advisable to boost your intake of clean drinking water. Continuously monitor your blood pressure, paying special attention to the readings taken during the night and early morning hours. Refrain from consuming salty foods, as they contribute to fluid retention within the body. Prioritize measures to prevent oxygen deprivation by ensuring regular outings in fresh air. Make an effort to steer clear of stress and intense emotional strain,” is the guidance offered by experts.
