
The Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team bested the Winnipeg Jets in a National Hockey League (NHL) regular season game.
The contest, held in Tampa, concluded with the home team securing a victory by a final score of 4-1 (periods ending 1-0, 2-1, 1-0). For the Lightning, goals were tallied by Dominik James (at the 15-minute mark), Darren Raddysh (22nd minute), Yanni Gourde (38th minute), and Russian forward Nikita Kucherov (59th minute). The visiting team’s only marker came from Kyle Connor (33rd minute).
Nikita Kucherov also contributed an assist to the scoreboard. Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 22 out of 23 shots he faced and was subsequently named the second star of the game. Winnipeg forward Vladislav Namestnikov registered one shot on goal and delivered two body checks.
This marks the fifth triumph for Tampa Bay in their last six outings in the NHL championship. Conversely, Winnipeg has now suffered their third defeat in their last four contests.
