
The Ottawa Senators hockey club managed to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins in an away game during the NHL regular season.
The contest, held in Pittsburgh, concluded with a score of 3-2 in favor of the visiting side. For Ottawa, the goals were scored by Mike Amadio, Tim Stützle, and Claude Giroux. Representing the hosts, Russian forward Egor Chinakhov and Tomas Novak found the net.
Chinakhov registered a goal and an assist. The Russian player has now accumulated 16 points (10 goals, 6 assists) across 45 games this season.
Pittsburgh’s Russian forward, Evgeni Malkin, provided an assist, bringing his tally for the current season to 43 points (13 goals, 30 assists).
Ottawa has now secured its fourth consecutive victory, accumulating 61 points and moving up to the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Pittsburgh (holding 67 points) remains in seventh place.
