According to Forbes magazine, American entrepreneur Elon Musk has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first individual whose personal wealth has surpassed the $800 billion mark.
This significant accumulation of assets followed the acquisition of his own artificial intelligence and social media venture, xAI, by SpaceX, Musk’s aerospace corporation.
The publication states, “Forbes estimates that this transaction, which resulted in a combined entity valued at $1.25 trillion, boosted Musk’s wealth by $84 billion instantly, bringing his total to a record $852 billion.”
To illustrate the rapid growth, Musk’s net worth was valued at just $24.6 billion in March 2020, yet by January 2021, he had ascended to the position of the world’s wealthiest person. That same year saw him cross the $200 billion and $300 billion thresholds. He subsequently reached $400 billion in 2024, and between October and December 2025 alone, he surpassed the $500 billion, $600 billion, and $700 billion benchmarks.
