The legendary 59-year-old mixed martial arts fighter, wrestler, and actor, Don “The Predator” Frye, shared his perspective regarding the current dominance of Caucasians in the MMA sphere.
“What can you do if you don’t care for watching them. Whether you appreciate them or not, their approach is superior to everything else. Historically, we first saw the Gracie family, then Ken Shamrock’s crew emerged, followed by Dan Severn. And then myself. There are always shifts occurring,” Frye commented in a video posted on his social media channels.
Frye stands as one of the earliest figures in MMA. Even after achieving significant early victories and accolades in the UFC promotion, he departed the world of MMA in 1997 to pursue a wrestling career with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he rapidly ascended to become a premier villain for the organization. In 2002, his bout against Yoshihiro Takayama earned the ‘Match of the Year’ award from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
