A fresh threat is brewing in the digital realm, manifesting as a Trojan that has already compromised hundreds of thousands of machines across the globe.
According to video game industry specialists, upwards of 400,000 computers, including those in Russia, have been infected by this malware. The majority of users unwittingly downloaded the virus bundled with free games, with infections commencing in April 2025.This novel virus is designed to pilfer sensitive information, gaining entry not only to files stored on the device but also to the webcam feed. Perhaps most troublingly, the virus operates stealthily—it proves difficult for standard antivirus software to detect, and furthermore, it does not impede system performance; its sole function is to create an open gateway for malicious actors.
