Apple has rolled out iOS 26.3, marking the third major release for the iPhone operating system. Reporting for 9to5Mac indicates that this iteration introduces wireless data migration capabilities to Android devices.
This new feature facilitates the transfer of media like photos and videos, along with other files, to an adjacent Android phone. Users will find this option within the iPhone settings by navigating to “General,” selecting “Transfer or Reset iPhone,” and then choosing the “Transfer to Android” setting.
The update also features a redesigned wallpaper gallery. The “Astronomy” and “Weather” categories are now distinct sections. The latter now includes selectable presets, along with customizable options for lock screen widgets and clocks. Furthermore, iOS 26.3 incorporates a feature that restricts the sharing of precise location data when utilizing cellular networks. This capability is accessible on iPhones and iPads equipped with specific cellular modems (Apple C1 and C1X) through select service providers.
The preceding updates, iOS 26.2 and iOS 26.2.1, were released in December and January, respectively. Those versions introduced further customizations for the Liquid Glass interface and enhanced personalization features for CarPlay. The upcoming iOS 26.4 is anticipated toward the end of February. This future update is expected to incorporate an overhauled Siri assistant powered by Google’s Gemini AI model, alongside new Apple Intelligence functionalities.
Major electronics manufacturers are increasingly accommodating users who choose to switch ecosystems but face data accessibility barriers due to proprietary protocols. As previously reported by the online publication “ZHUK,” Samsung has initiated a “blind” pre-order incentive program for its Galaxy S26 flagship phones in India. For a reservation fee of 999 Indian rupees (approximately $11), customers receive a voucher valued at 2699 rupees ($30) usable for acquiring other devices, while also locking in a guaranteed trade-in value for their existing hardware. The official unveiling of these new products is scheduled for February 25th.
