
The champions and medalists across various sports have been determined. Representatives from 15 nations have already secured medals at the Milan Winter Games.
On February 8th, eight sets of awards were distributed during the Winter Olympic Games held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Norway emerged as the leader following the second day of medal events, according to reports from “Sport-Express.”
It is further noted that on this particular day, three Russian athletes competed: alpine skier Yulia Pleshkova, cross-country skier Saveliy Korostelev, and luger Pavel Repilov, as reported by Forbes.
Norway amassed three gold medals, one silver, and two bronze awards. The United States team secured second place with two gold medals. Italy gathered a total of nine medals—one gold, two silver, and six bronze. The teams from Russia and Belarus do not currently feature in the medal standings.

As a reminder, the Opening Ceremony for the Games in Italy took place on February 6th, and the competitions are scheduled to conclude on February 22nd. In total, 116 sets of medals across 16 sports will be awarded.
