The Group A game, played in Milan, concluded with a final score of 6-3 (2-0, 2-3, 2-0 in periods). For the winning side, goals were scored by Martin Nečas (in the 6th minute), Michal Kempný (14th minute), David Pastrňák (34th minute), Matej Stránský (40th minute), Filip Hronek (42nd minute) and Roman Červenka (42nd minute). France saw a brace from Louis Boudon (goals at 22 and 25 minutes), with Hugo Gallais also finding the net (26th minute).
Claiming 3 points, the Czech team is currently positioned third in the standings for Group A. The French squad, suffering their second consecutive defeat, occupies the bottom spot, fourth place, having yet to secure any points.
