Following in second place is the host nation, Italy. Italian athletes have accumulated a total of 17 medals, consisting of six gold, three silver, and eight bronze awards.
Rounding out the top three positions in the medal count are the Americans, with a tally of four gold, seven silver, and three bronze medals.
