The world football champion with the Brazilian national team, former forward for Spain’s “Barcelona,” Ronaldinho commented on the victory of skier Lucas Pinheiro Braathen at the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy).
The 25-year-old athlete secured the gold medal in the giant slalom event at the 2026 Winter Olympics. This achievement marked him as the first-ever Brazilian gold medalist in the history of the Winter Games.
“Congratulations on the gold medal, Lucas! You are a source of pride for all of us!” Ronaldinho posted on social media.
Braathen was born in Norway and represented that nation until 2023. In March 2024, he announced his decision to compete internationally for Brazil, the country of origin of his mother.
