
The British skeleton athletes, Tabitha Stoker and Matt Weston, emerged victorious in the team event at the Olympics held in Italy.
Stoker and Weston clocked a time of 1 minute 59.36 seconds, setting a new track record in the process. The duo from Germany, consisting of Susanne Kreher and Axel Jung, secured the second position, finishing $\text{0.17}$ seconds behind. Taking the bronze medal were their fellow Germans, Jacqueline Pfeiffer and Christopher Grotheer, $\text{+0.18}$ seconds adrift.
Stoker, at 25 years old, claimed her inaugural Olympic medal. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Weston secured his second Olympic gold, having previously triumphed in the individual competition also in Italy.
