Microsoft has officially acknowledged issues leading to the infamous “black screen of death” experienced by Windows 11 users, as reported by TechRadar.
Complaints regarding these malfunctions surfaced early this year, with several users encountering the critical error that resulted in the abrupt display of a black screen. PC owners also noted that the failure was frequently accompanied by a “Kernel Security Check Failure” notification, pointing to an issue with kernel security verification. Microsoft confirmed the existence of this bug and has commenced the rollout of a fix to resolve it.
According to journalists, this particular issue disproportionately affected gamers, who witnessed the error upon launching video games. While the majority of documented occurrences involved machines equipped with Nvidia graphics cards, reports of similar complications have also come from owners using other GPU manufacturers.
Furthermore, another fault within Windows 11 has been identified, specifically preventing computers from connecting to Wi-Fi networks secured by the WPA3 standard. Microsoft has indicated that the February update is slated to address this connectivity problem.
