German bobsledders Johannes Lochner and Georg Fleischhauer clinched the gold medals in the two-man event at the Olympic Games held in Italy.
After four runs, Lochner and Fleischhauer clocked a total time of 3 minutes and 39.7 seconds. Their compatriots, Francesco Friedrich and Alexander Schüller, secured the silver, trailing by 1.34 seconds (+1.34 seconds). Another German duo, Adam Ammur and Alexander Schaller, took home the bronze medal, finishing 1.82 seconds behind the winners (+1.82).
Lochner, aged 35, achieved his first Olympic championship title. At the 2022 Games in Beijing, he had previously earned silver medals in both the two-man and four-man events. For Fleischhauer, who is 37, this marks his inaugural Olympic medal in his career.
