The recently launched iPhone 17e, while boasting several upgrades, retains a 60Hz refresh rate screen, mirroring its predecessor. According to ZDnet reports, a shift in the budget segment regarding display technology is not anticipated until 2028.
Sources suggest that Apple is contemplating integrating an LTPO display into the iPhone 19e, slated for a 2028 release. Consequently, the intermediate model, the iPhone 18e, is also expected to stick with a 60Hz screen. Analysts observe that the sales figures for the iPhone 16e indicate consumer satisfaction with its current price-to-specifications ratio.
However, industry experts caution that even the iPhone 19e might not definitively feature the enhanced display. Apple intends to trial the LTPO Plus technology first on their flagship devices, and any technical hurdles encountered could delay the adoption of this advancement in the more affordable lineup.
