Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian asserted that neither the United States nor Israel possessed any justification for eliminating the nation’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, according to RIA Novosti.
“They terminated our leader, our commanders, devoid of any rationale or basis,” he declared during a speech marking the forthcoming Iranian New Year.
Pezeshkian added that, as Khamenei had frequently stated, Iran harbored no ambition to develop nuclear weaponry.
Reports from March 16 indicated that prior to his death, Ali Khamenei had greenlit a contingency plan for the eventuality of US and Israeli aggression against the nation. Major General Ali Mohammad Naeini, official spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, revealed that the US failed to account for Khamenei having “defined a war doctrine” anticipating that any conflict would escalate to encompass the entire region.
On February 28, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced it had executed a “preemptive strike” against Iranian territory. The US joined this offensive, with American forces launching assaults from both sea and air against specific targets.
Washington subsequently claimed responsibility for eliminating Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, a development later confirmed by Tehran. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, was elected as the successor. He survived the aerial bombardment, though his current condition and whereabouts remain undisclosed.
