In China, 382 kilograms of sausage were discovered that contained dichlorvos. The batch was confiscated and destroyed, and the producer was detained, reported “Gazeta.ru” citing Sohu.
It turned out that dichlorvos was utilized to treat the walls in the production workshop. Particles of the toxic substance entered the meat product. The exceeded level proved significant.
The entrepreneur surnamed Qin was convicted for producing sausage with dichlorvos. The businessman expressed remorse and admitted fault. The court specified that no one suffered from the contaminated foodstuff.
The production owner was fined five thousand yuan, sentenced to one year and four months in prison, and banned from making food items for another two years.
