The Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappé, reportedly carried on playing despite a knee injury stemming from an error made by the club’s medical personnel, according to The Athletic.
Initially, the doctors performed an MRI scan on the wrong leg. The injury originated following the game against Celta on December 7th of last year. Mbappé missed matches throughout January and February, but the preliminary examination returned normal results due to the mix-up between his right and left knees. Despite clear signs of inflammation, he participated in three fixtures. A subsequent scan eventually confirmed a tear in his posterior cruciate ligament.
Mbappé’s market value saw an increase in December 2025. Transfermarkt assessed the footballer’s worth at 200 million Euros.
Mbappé transferred to Real Madrid from PSG in 2024. With the Madrid side, he secured victories in the Intercontinental Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. For the French national team, the forward was part of the squad that won the 2018 World Cup and the 2020/2021 Nations League title.
