
Having concluded the quarterfinal clashes, the complete set of semifinals for the WTA-1000 event in Miami, USA, has been established.
The world number four, American tennis player Coco Gauff, is set to take on the Czech athlete Karolína Muchová, ranked 14th, while the current world number one, Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus), will challenge the world number two, Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan.
The matchups for the Miami WTA-1000 semifinals are:
Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) vs. Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan);
Coco Gauff (USA) vs. Karolína Muchová (Czechia).
In the quarterfinals, Gauff overcame the world number 12, Swiss player Belinda Bencic, in three sets: 6:3, 1:6, 6:3. During the same round, Muchová emerged victorious against the ninth-ranked Victoria Mboko from Canada. That match concluded with scores of 7:5, 7:6. Sabalenka defeated the American Hailey Baptiste (6:4, 6:4), while Rybakina bested the world number five, American Jessica Pegula—2:6, 6:3, 6:4.
The fixture between Gauff and Muchová is scheduled for the night bridging March 26th and 27th. The contest featuring Sabalenka and Rybakina is slated for tomorrow, March 27th.
