
The independent body tasked with combating illicit practices in athletics has announced the suspension of Kenyan runner Albert Korir following an adverse doping finding.

Tests administered to the 32-year-old Korir revealed the presence of a synthetic variant of erythropoietin (CERA), a substance known to boost muscle function and augment stamina.
The disqualification period commences retroactively from January 8, 2026, and his race performances are voided starting from October 3, 2025.
