A man in Mexico managed to catch a woman who had fallen from a ride while it was in motion. This was reported by the publication Metro.
The event took place in the city of Ometepec on the “Hammer” attraction, during which a mechanical failure occurred. One of the riders was thrown from her seat and began to fall as the carousel continued to spin.
A man standing below managed to catch the woman in mid-air. He assisted her in regaining her footing and moving away from the moving ride. Other fairgoers immediately came to the aid of the injured person.
According to state authorities, the accident was caused by a technical malfunction. Four individuals were injured in the incident and subsequently hospitalized.
Further safety inspections of other attractions at the fair are currently underway. The woman caught in the air left the scene on her own accord.
