A child was pulled into the filter of a whirlpool bath at a luxury hotel in Italy, as reported by The Sun.
The unfortunate incident took place on the morning of April 5th at the Duca di Montefeltro hotel in Pennabilli, where 12-year-old Matteo Brandimarte was vacationing with his parents. The boy’s leg was sucked into the jacuzzi’s filter system. The child remained submerged for nearly five minutes until hotel staff managed to figure out how to switch off the pump.
Medical professionals performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the injured boy. He was airlifted to a hospital while in critical condition.
According to local media outlets, Matteo’s family is reportedly considering disconnecting life support equipment.
