Actor Leonardo DiCaprio will miss the Palm Springs Film Festival gala due to air travel restrictions concerning Venezuela. This is reported by Variety.
DiCaprio was scheduled to receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award for his role in the film “Don’t Look Up.” However, as foreign media learned, the Oscar winner could not depart from Saint Barthélemy because of flight limitations in the area, introduced following the international conflict.
“Leonardo DiCaprio will be unable to attend the ceremony in person due to unforeseen travel complications and restricted airspace. We will miss his physical presence, but we are honored to recognize his exceptional performance and invaluable contribution to cinema. His talent and dedication continue to inspire, and we are delighted to present him with the Desert Palm Achievement Award this evening,” stated a representative for the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Palm Springs International Airport published a statement on X, announcing that departing flights are delayed.
